Mickey Jawa helps organizations and people excel - by streamlining business processes, focusing them on the needs of the customers and ensuring that the supporting organization, people and information systems are aligned with those processes.

He is an extremely experienced consultant in business strategy, business process reengineering, continuous improvement, project management, management systems, six sigma, lean systems, global standards (including ISO9000) and organizational design. He has assisted in defining business strategy and implemented change management for both private and public organizations.

Mickey graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree, a Graduate Diploma in Management and an MBA - all from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He has also completed Advanced Management Programs at the University of Oxford, UK and at Texas A&M University, USA. He is a Master Instructor for a wide variety of courses, and is also a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a certified Lead Auditor and HACCP auditor. He is a Lean Master and a Business Process Reengineering Guru.

He has lectured at the graduate level at McGill University in Montreal, Temasek Polytechnic University in Singapore and the University of Toronto. Mickey was a Chairman of the prestigious Conference Board of Canada's Council on the Management of Quality. He was also Chairman of Triventa Technologies Corporation - which, under his leadership was named Canada's 43rd Hottest Startup by Profit Magazine in 2002. He is a member of the board of directors of the YMCA of Greater Toronto, a charitable organization with over 3,000 staff and 7,000 volunteers. Mickey is a Professional Engineer, a member of the American Society for Quality, the Global Lean and Six Sigma Network, the Global Organization Design Society, the Opimian Society and Mensa.

Over the past 30 years he has worked in wide range of professional and managerial positions with increasing levels of responsibility in process engineering, manufacturing, management, laboratories, environment, health & safety, industrial hygiene, marketing technical services, total quality management, purchasing, consulting and general management - including unionized environments. As Global Director of Continuous Improvement and Business Process Reengineering for the world's largest biotechnology company, his responsibilities included coordinating the integration of all of the conglomerate's diverse business processes globally.

He brings a wealth of experience in several industries including agriculture, aerospace, automotive, chemicals, construction, pharmaceuticals, metal fabrication, electronics, pulp and paper, food, plastics, agricultural products, distribution and transportation. His experience spans manufacturing, service, government and not-for-profit organizations.

Extremely results focused, as a consultant Mickey has helped hundreds of private and public-sector organizations in North America, Europe, South America and the Far East improve their business performance. His profound understanding of how business processes work leads to rapid and sustainable breakthroughs in performance. Mickey has successfully helped clients across a wide variety of industries to improve profitability by reengineering their business processes - reducing cycle times, increasing throughput, eliminating non-value-adding and rework steps, and enhancing overall customer service.

He has championed business process improvement globally through his many public speaking engagements. Mickey's participation helped formulate the development of global ISO standards in Quality, Environment and Health & Safety.

Mickey is a citizen of Canada and Great Britain. He also holds security clearances for the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario and many private organizations.
