the attraction

There are some "traditions" that have evolved which encourage professional interest and Network unity. These are:

operational issues
costs
membership
location of meetings
meeting agendas & follow up
professional aspects of the network
financial arrangements

keeping clear the perspective

TRADITIONS
1. Operational Issues

1.1 Members meet twice a year to share experiences, consider new R & D ideas, discuss approaches and contacts, and develop marketing strategies as appropriate;

1.2 Members will find the Network most beneficial if they attend at least one if not both meetings each year;

1.3 Where concerns or issues arise involving two or more members, these will be resolved directly by those involved through open and frank discussion;

1.4 Copies of successful proposals are circulated for information to all members;

1.5 Opportunities to work together on contracts or on topics improve understanding amongst members;

1.6 Where several members are unable to attend a meeting, the consequent smaller meeting will be held (which have tended to be informal but quite productive);

1.7 If a member does not make an idea explicit as off limits, confidential or proprietary, it is open for use by others; and

1.8 Professional notes within the Network can only be used within the Network, to use outside the Network, permission from the author may be granted for use with attribution.
