Management consultant, researcher, writer and editor
with experience in internal and external communications, information management,
change management and organizational development. Carolyn brings nearly 30 years of progressive senior experience in
information management, communications, policy development and implementation
and organizational development to her consulting practice, helping executives
bring clarity to their communications with staff and clients alike.
Her executive experience, including that of Director General, National
Library of Canada, has given her a first hand opportunity to know the
challenges of senior managerial responsibilities. This has included
developing appropriate organizational structures, strategic plans and
implementation programs, and budgeting and accountability procedures
and practices that are comprehensive yet practical.
Her communications skills are tuned to the realities of staff, stakeholder,
shareholder and client needs. She has authored and produced major reports,
for organizations including the Auditor-General for Canada, Parks Canada
(Canada's State of the Parks Report, 1991) and Ontario's Horticulture
Industry, to name a few.
Carolyn brings her executive and information management capacity to
bear on the problems to be addressed. Based on this analysis, she develops
communications plans, messages and delivery for target audiences through
appropriate media.
She has consulted over the past seven years to private sector clients,
government agencies, industry organizations and individuals seeking
advice on organizational design, business planning, internal and external
communications and information management.
